Shoot Day: 15th November

This shoot is scheduled for the 80s and 70s scenes. We started with 80s since the set is simple and the make up is not thick so the make up for 70s would be easier to put on and quicker.

80s Set Up: Bench and a book
Our 80s scene is a reference to the popular film 'The Breakfast Club', especially with the shuffle that Jacob does on the bench.

Here are some photos from the shoot for 80s scene:

Watching it on the big screen
After we were done filming all the 80s scene, we shot publicity shots before they change costume. Then we moved onto the 70s scene.

As Juliette and Jacob got changed and redid their make up, Audrey, Brandon and I changed the set.

For 70s we had the disco floor and disco ball to reference 'Saturday Night Fever'.

In these shots, we had to be wary of the disco ball as it was only a few centimeters above Jacobs head, however the choreography of the scene was done great.

After our shoot, we edited the 80s scene together, seeing whether we needed any re-shoots or any new shots.

From looking over this edit, we saw a few problems with Jacobs lip-syncing. When he jumps off the bench, his lip-syncing is not clear, so we decided to re-shoot that shot and also add a new mid shot of Jacob walking across the bench since the wide shot is too long.

As for the 70s shots, when we looked over it, luckily there was never a shadow on Jacob from the disco ball, but my only problem was with the disco floor as it smaller than we anticipated, making the set seem empty. After a while of shooting, our hand-made disco floor had started to come apart, making it hard for us to reshoot. However in the shots, the audience would be more focused on the actors and the music than the floor.
