Shoot Day: 21th November

We decided this shoot we would solely be shooting the band performance for improvement and because in the old footage, the microphone on Jacob was too high, covering his mouth.

Also as you can tell from the image above Jacob is wearing a different jumper, this was due to the reason that it was not where we had left it before so we couldn't find it and had to make do with Juliette's black jumper. 

We shot various framings for the performances. For example, CU's of the band members as well as close ups of the instruments like the guitar and bass.

From last band shoot, we remembered that when Brandon plays the drums, the drum kit tends to move away from him, so our solution to that problem was to have someone sitting in front of the drum kit for his close ups.

Overall the shoot went well but then we realised when looking over the footage was that the we were not able to use any of Jacob's shots and the bad band performance we filmed today because we would not be able to use the extreme close up of Jacob which shows a bit of his burgandy jumper.It was unfortunate but we were still able to use it as template to see if it all looked well together. However this was kind of lucky because I personally preferred the burgandy jumper and I'm sure the others preferred it too; in the end we decided to reshoot the wide band performance shot and Jacob's shots another day.
